play Greater London Women's League football next term. A
team spokesman said: "We're attracting quality
players - it's important that we provide a stage that
they can perform on come September."

JUNE 09 - The RedBACKS rolled out winners against ARUP
SELEKT ladies. The Park
Futsal contest saw Islington's newest side secure a 10-3
victory. Despite using Paradise park's uneven surface to
its advantage the RedBACKS admit to having it all their
way. A team spokie said: "They worked us hard and
we know they're looking to 'do us' when we play the
return game. We knew not to take them lightly!"

JUNE 09 - Janine Botha is reported to be en route to the UK and
heading for the RedBACKS. The 6'11 keeper
(pictured left) has reportedly been in talks with RedBACKS
management and a deal could be in the offing. A team
spokesperson said: "It would be a boost to have
somewhere of her quality for season 2009/10."

STRIKE A THREAT
02 JUNE 09 - The RedBACKS' first game of the Summer Season
scheduled for 11 June could be derailed by striking TUBE workers. The
Spiders were due to play Camden-based engineering firm ARUP in a
six-a-side Park Futsal encounter, but industrial action could put paid to those
ideas.

HEIN-NESS HEADS HOME
29 JUNE 09 - Washington State striker Katie Hein
signed-off the RedBACKS' roster to head home to the US via New
Zealand. The LondonMet University exchange student said: "It's been a
blast!" |

16 JUNE 09 - New RedBACKS players will be given the option
of playing league and cup football season 2009/10

of tea, but the option is there - including the Women's
FA Cup." |
